An entrepreneur's job is to sell the idea of the company to potential employees, to partners and to investors. Though in a perfect world there would be enough information for investors to decide whether to invest by completely objective methods, in the real world the communication skills of the entrepreneur can make or break the deal. This session is on the communication aspect of presentations. First, Dan Sapp will talk about skills being in front of a room, then Michael Johnson will work with groups helping people get to the real underlying reason the investor is motivated to invest in your company.

We will also have 3 new and exciting atart-ups presenting. Pacific Marine Farms Inc. (PMF) is a land-based, start-up aquaculture company that will provide three varieties of exclusive, high quality seafood to the growing West Coast live seafood markets.

Bignose, inc. Founded in 1999, BigNose, Inc. is the leading supplier of large format custom photo-products to partners, businesses and consumers. Our mission is to provide a large variety of customized and personalized large format products such as posters, canvases and puzzles, to a wide audience through partnerships with on-line photographic e-tailers and in stores with traditional photographic product suppliers.

Three Rings was founded on 2001.3.30 by Mr Daniel James and Mr Michael Bayne. We started developing Yohoho! in earnest on 2001.7.9 and we moved into our present Pirate's cove. We are singularly focused on the creation of persistent world games that are different, interesting, and hopefully reach new audiences. We don't want to make a better mousetrap. We want to trap the big hairy rats you get on Pirate ships. Networking, Dinner and Wine tasting

In most things we do in modern technological society, Energy is is a necessary factor. Currently we are facing questions of our energy supply on many fronts. California is still feeling the effects of its energy crunch, oil prices are high, putting a drag on the economy, some believe the pending war in Iraq is about oil, our president recently said that hydrogen fuel was going to solve our energy problems and, of course, none of us will soon forget Enron.

One thing people notice after a while is that every time oil prices rise, there is a push for conservation and alternatives, and as soon as oil prices go back down, it all seems to be forgotten.

Despite the cycles, there is innovation in energy buinesses, and like much of business, it is not through huge revolutions, but incremental change. Even the smallest innovation in a market so huge translates into a large amount of money.
