Turner Kibbey - Morison and Kibbey In most things we do in modern technological society, Energy is is a necessary factor. Currently we are facing questions of our energy supply on many fronts. California is still feeling the effects of its energy crunch, oil prices are high, putting a drag on the economy, some believe the pending war in Iraq is about oil, our president recently said that hydrogen fuel was going to solve our energy problems and, of course, none of us will soon forget Enron. One thing people notice after a while is that every time oil prices rise, there is a push for conservation and alternatives, and as soon as oil prices go back down, it all seems to be forgotten. Despite the cycles, there is innovation in energy buinesses, and like much of business, it is not through huge revolutions, but incremental change. Even the smallest innovation in a market so huge translates into a large amount of money. Don Steiny - organizer and moderator
